In most of our work tasks, we do not just need to create a table.  We also need to put some data in it on the fly.  Creating a table and populating it on the fly is possible using the SELECT INTO statement in Access 2007.  In this example, we create the table customer1 and we populate it with data from the customers table.    


SELECT * INTO Customer1
FROM customers


The table customer1 will be created and populated with all the records from the customers table.  Of course, you can modify the SQL statement above to move specific fields and records.
